Everything you need to know

How far in advance should I book?

As soon as you have a likely moving date! Weekends, month-end dates, and summer moves can fill up quickly. Even if your closing date is still changing, reach out and we can talk through availability. Your future self will thank you.

How do I get a moving quote?

Start with our free quote form or call us at (470) 637-8359. Tell us your addresses, approximate inventory, preferred date, stairs, elevators, and any special items. We’ll review your needs and explain what the estimate covers. A quick conversation now helps avoid surprises later.

Is the online moving calculator a final price?

Nope — think of it as a planning buddy, not a contract. It provides a preliminary estimate for qualifying Georgia local moves. Actual pricing depends on your move details, time, services, and applicable charges. Ask us for a written personalized estimate.

What can affect the total cost of my move?

The size of your move, distance, crew and labor time, packing needs, stairs, elevators, long carries, access restrictions, and special handling can all matter. Tell us about tricky access or extra items before moving day so we can plan properly.

Do you move small apartments and studios?

Absolutely! Whether you have a few pieces of furniture or a full house, we’d love to hear about your move. We’ll recommend the appropriate crew and service based on the details.

Do you offer packing and unpacking?

Yes! We can discuss full packing, partial packing, unpacking, and help with delicate belongings. Let us know what you’d like us to handle, and we’ll include the appropriate services and materials in your estimate.

How should I pack TVs, mirrors, and glass?

Fragile items need proper protection, padding, and suitable boxes or crating before loading. Tell us about TVs, mirrors, glass tops, artwork, and other delicate pieces ahead of time so we can discuss the right packing solution. Please don’t leave glass unprotected.

Can I leave clothes inside dressers?

It depends on the dresser, its condition, and how heavy it becomes. For safety, we may ask you to empty drawers, especially for large or delicate furniture. Ask your move coordinator before moving day.

Do you disassemble and reassemble furniture?

We can discuss basic furniture disassembly and reassembly as part of your move. Let us know about bed frames, tables, large sectionals, or unusual furniture so we can confirm the tools, time, and services required.

Do you offer labor-only moving help?

Yes. If you already have a rental truck, container, or trailer, ask us about loading or unloading help. Tell us the equipment size, access conditions, and how much you’re moving so we can plan the crew.

Do you handle long-distance and interstate moves?

Yes. We help with interstate moves as well as local Georgia relocations. Long-distance moves have different pricing, scheduling, paperwork, and delivery considerations, so we’ll review the details and available service options with you.

What is the difference between a binding and non-binding estimate?

For interstate moves, a binding estimate generally sets the price for the inventory and services listed, subject to applicable changes and rules. A non-binding estimate is an approximation; final charges depend on the shipment and services under the applicable tariff. We’ll explain the type of estimate provided before you book.

What if I need storage during my move?

Tell us your expected storage dates, what you need stored, and whether you’ll need redelivery. We can discuss storage arrangements and availability for your particular move, including any separate handling or storage charges.

What if my move date changes?

Life happens — closings shift and leases change! Contact us as soon as you know. We’ll review availability and any applicable changes to your reservation or estimate.

What items should I move myself?

Keep medications, IDs, passports, cash, jewelry, keys, important documents, and essentials with you. Please tell us about any potentially hazardous or restricted items before packing; some materials cannot travel on a moving truck.

What happens if an item is damaged?

We want to hear about it and review it carefully. Use our Damage Claims form, provide your job details and clear photos, and keep the item and packing materials available while your claim is reviewed. For interstate moves, your paperwork explains the valuation options and applicable claims process.

Are you licensed and insured?

We maintain the registrations and insurance required for our services. For interstate household-goods moves, you can independently verify carrier information using the FMCSA mover database. Ask our team if you need documentation for your building or move.

How can I make moving day smoother?

Label boxes by room, set aside a personal essentials bag, reserve parking or elevator access if needed, and keep pathways clear. Our moving checklist is a great place to start — a little prep makes a big difference!
